Sylvester Grothis a German actor and vocalist. He portrays Inspector Clausen on Dark.
Groth studied at the Ernst Buch High School for Acting in Berlin, and worked as a stage actor all across East Germany. His breakthrough film was Der Aufenthalt (The Turning Point), which won the Heinrich Greif Prize in 1983. Groth escaped to West Germany in 1986 and has enjoyed a long and successful career since, and is probably best-known among English speakers for portraying Joseph Goebells in Quentin Tarantino's 2009 film Inglourious Basterds.
